Plenty of Income Matters Today’s listeners and readers love their dividend stocks. That makes a lot of sense, and there’s always a place for them in a portfolio. It’s a question, though, of how an allocation. For roughly a decade until the Federal Reserve started to raise short-term rates nearly two years ago, dividend stocks, with their attractive yields, were the only game in town for income investors. That’s not the case right now, of course, with short-term Treasuries yielding more than 5%.
